Annual Symposium of Contemporary Conservation Practice (Video)
Since you are here reading my blog, I have to assume you are a fly fisher and as most fly fishers you have a untold desire to protect our natural resources. It’s like there is an unwritten rule that becomes part of your being as a fly fisher. It might be because of the respect you gain for our resources whilst casting your fly for hours or days after the fish of a lifetime, you might not get that one. But you know if your water is not protected you will never get that one…
Here are videos/ presentations that were done at the 2012 Annual Symposium of Contemporary Conservation Practice which was held in the Midlands of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, between 22 – 26 October 2012. This event was hosted by Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife (the conservation authority for the province of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa) along with a number of partner organisations.
I have linked some presentations that are of great interest to me, especially as it relates to the Isimangaliso Wetland Park. The place where most of my saltwater fly fishing takes place. It will also be of great insight and benefit to some of you up country that makes your annual pilgrimage down to the coast for your family holidays and a little saltwater fly action.
